Supervisory Financial Management Specialist

About the role

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) seeks a Full-time Supervisory Financial Management Specialist (NH-0501-03) to join the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This position offers a rewarding career with competitive pay ranging from $89,508 to $138,370 annually.

Responsibilities

• Exercise 2nd level (or higher) supervisory and managerial authorities over 72 FSS/FSR.
• Direct work activities through subordinate supervisors/leads.
• Provide advice, accountability, and expertise to higher management and/or senior leadership on a continuous basis.
• Exercise control over the organizational element by providing direction, planning, and leadership for assigned subordinate personnel.

Requirements

• Obtain & maintain a security clearance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of agency budget policies and procedures, regulations, guidelines, and precedents and controls and of the structure, programs and work methods of organization(s) for budgeting work.
• Knowledge of computerized budget system(s) and the ability to develop new methods and techniques of budgeting applicable to the forecasting of long range funding needs.
• Knowledge of personnel safety, security and management, EEO regulations, procedures and practices, and Merit System principles and intent.
• Skill in projecting and analyzing the potential effects of budgetary actions on national economic, social, and/or political objectives and applying a variety of analytical methods and techniques to budgetary processes and special studies.
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors and/or leads.
• Ability to utilize AoP concepts and principles to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
