SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• Act as an expert in all Resources and Operations data acquisition instrumentation systems and subsystems and assist senior technicians in support of their programs with specific knowledge of Test Pilot School (TPS) platforms integration.
• Act as an expert in TEMPO (Test and Evaluation Management for Programs and Operations) data acquisition equipment, design and software, and how it integrates specifically with Test Pilot School (TPS) test squadron platforms.
• Provide technically sound advice and guidance to managers, engineers, technicians, peers, and sponsors on specific technical aspects of data acquisition systems concept, development and support.
• Provide administrative and technical supervision of subordinate employees in the branch as well as establish performance standards, assess performance, counsel and evaluate subordinates' performance, and recommend awards.
• Hear and resolve employee complaints, initiate corrective action as needed and refer serious or group grievances to the assigned branch Manager or a higher level.
• Manage the labor and material budgets for the Section with regards to various projects and assist with financial issues that arise within the branch.

• Ability to integrate TEMPO with Test Pilot School (TPS) test squadron platforms.
• Technical advice and guidance skills.
• Ability to establish, assess, counsel, and evaluate performance of subordinate employees.
• Complaint resolution and grievance handling skills.
• Ability to manage labor and material budgets and handle financial issues.
