About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled civilian Supervisory Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital, a 20-bed military treatment facility located at Fort Johnson (formerly Fort Polk), Louisiana. This facility supports active-duty service members, families, rotational units, and retirees, featuring a 12-bed Level III Emergency Department and award-winning rural health care operations.
Salary negotiation may be available for candidates new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized for highly qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
- Offer regular and concise feedback to providers and staff on the status of referred patients, including recommendations for team-based care.
- Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
- Provide guidance to hospital leadership regarding policy on Psychology issues.
- Provide professional and clinical consultation to military and community leaders and multidisciplinary professionals.
- Treat severe and complex variations of adult psychological dysfunction by making diagnostic clinical formulations based on the DSM.
- Supervise performance of federal civilian employees assigned to the clinic, including establishing work priorities, making assignments, monitoring work performed, and providing guidance on technical and administrative matters.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
- A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
- Completion of an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral graduate program and an APA accredited predoctoral internship.
Pay
Salary Range: Up to $138,370.
