Clinical Psychologist (Mental Health Consultant) GS-0180-13
This position is located at the Naval Branch Health Clinic Gulfport, Directorate of Mental Health, Gulfport, MS. Personal office space at Medical Homeport will be provided. Hours of operation are 0700-1530. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.
Responsibilities
- Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose mental health interventions.
- Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
- Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, including recommendations for team-based care.
- Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
- Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship.
- Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
- One year of specialized experience which includes conducting mental health assessments; providing individual and group treatment; and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. This experience must be equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal service.
- Current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, issued by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Pay
Up to $138,370 per year.
