Responsibilities
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with UNITED policies and applicable laws
- Interview, hire, and train associates
- Plan, assign, and direct work
- Appraise performance and address complaints and resolve problems
- Build positive associate morale
- Coordinate all shipping/receiving along with transportation
- Oversee all inventory control and product rotation
- Manage Shipping/Receiving Department, Inventory, Repack, Gate, or Night Loading
- Maintain responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the units listed above
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Accurately approve and maintain employee time approval
- Manage employee scheduling such as vacation, sick, and requested time off
- Train employees on OSHA monthly trainings
- Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years old (21 for this role)
- Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
- Class A commercial driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 12 months to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to become certified in forklift, riding pallet jack, and motorized vehicles
- Frequent standing and walking
- Ability to work in a team environment, resolve conflicts, and possess effective communication skills (verbal, reading, writing, calculating figures, and percentages)
- Ability to work safely and securely
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
Schedule
Monday-Friday 1pm-Until. Weekends and holidays as needed.
