Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring the accurate and timely receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. This role manages a team of warehouse associates, enforces safety and inventory control procedures, and ensures that operational goals for productivity, accuracy, and efficiency are consistently met. The Warehouse Supervisor also works closely with logistics, procurement, and production teams to support overall supply chain performance and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.

Duties

  • Ensuring that associates work safely, perform acceptable quality and quantity of work, and continually make efforts to improve the Warehousing process while maintaining cost targets through planning, leading/supervision and control of the Warehouse processes
  • Maintaining efficient, clean and orderly operation of the assigned Warehouse area in accordance with established goals and objectives
  • Complying with and enforcing all policies/procedures and applicable state and federal employment laws
  • Improving various Warehouse related problems and communicating shift problems with other shifts
  • Ensuring that all Warehouse standards and methods are followed by employees and that standards and methods are reviewed and up-to-date
  • Ensuring that all necessary Warehouse information is reported properly and timely to appropriate staff
  • Working on assigned continuous improvement projects and cost reduction activities
  • Monitoring all orders and shipping documents
  • Checking, entering and approving information in Payroll system; compiling and reviewing reports
  • Tracks and reports relevant metrics
  • Manages shipments and dock times
  • Serves as back up to the Warehouse Manager when they are out of the office
  • Acts as a liaison between management and Warehouse Associates and conveys customer expectations
  • Perform OTJ Training and complete records for all new/transferred employees
  • Assists with Inventory or labeling as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years in a warehouse leadership role
  • Associates' degree preferred but not required

  • Computer literacy as applied to scheduling and data management – particularly Microsoft Excel

  • Excel/ERP/Hand Scanner Computer Skills (Basic Outlook, Word, and Excel knowledge) a plus
  • Ability to read and write English

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, push, bend and/or squat for 10+ hours in a day
  • Must be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs at a time
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
