Supervisor, Underwriting Operations (or Manager)

About the role

We are currently seeking a Supervisor/Manager, (title dependent on experience), who will lead a commercial rating team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of a commercial rating team with oversight of new and renewal policies; processing policy changes, to include endorsements, cancellations, non-renewals, and reinstatements.
• Manage workflow focused on efficient and effective use of technology capabilities.
• Maintain compliance, audit, performance and quality standards, ensuring they are achieved and maintained at defined service level agreements.
• Identify, monitor, and communicate system issues to ensure timely and proper issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with underwriting leaders to coordinate the delivery of all related services to customers.

Requirements

• Experience managing a commercial rating team.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to manage workflow and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using relevant software and technology tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Skills

• Commercial insurance underwriting knowledge.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

The Supervisor salary range for this position is $62,419-$96,126 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Schedule

This position is located at our Midwest Regional Office in Carmel, IN.
