About the Role

Provide day-to-day work direction and supervise to maintain steady workflow and productivity in Information Technology (IT) support, operations, and activities. Manage technical services for the Bureau/Department and provide system and other technical training to department staff. Design and customize data entry screens for department use. Develop and maintain systems, tools, and device manuals, practices, and policies. Troubleshoot and resolve end user problems. This position is Actively Recruited and At Will.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise IT support, operations, and activities to ensure steady workflow and productivity.
  • Manage technical services for the Bureau/Department.
  • Provide system and technical training to department staff.
  • Design and customize data entry screens for department use.
  • Develop and maintain systems, tools, device manuals, practices, and policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve end user problems.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a directly related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in providing technical support and maintenance to assigned systems, platforms, and applications or directly related experience.
  • Two (2) years of prior supervisory or lead experience.
  • Candidates must produce original required documents (e.g., current driver’s license, diploma, school transcript, certifications) within five (5) days of a written offer.
  • Degrees awarded outside of the United States (except those from U.S. territories and Canada) must be credentialed by WES, ECE, or a NACES member organization.

  • Knowledge of current industry standards, regulations, and construction and building trades.
  • Skill in solving problems in a cost-effective manner.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and training.
  • Ability to enable a collaborative and teaming culture and provide day-to-day direction of tasks.
  • Ability to perform escalated or highly complex work similar to that done by supervised staff.
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks and collaborate with leadership to achieve organizational or departmental success.
  • Ability to align team's tasks with departmental procedures and objectives and serve as a reliable resource for other employees.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary Work: involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.

Pay

Salary Range: $108,131 - $119,386/Yearly

This position requires successful completion of post-offer tests, which may include a background check, drug screen, and medical examination. Falsification of any information in the application process may result in disqualification, dismissal after hire, or placement on the County’s Ineligible for Rehire List.
