About the role

The Supervisor reports to the Technology Transfer Director and supervises 3–4 direct reports while maintaining development plans for each. This role coordinates routine departmental tasks, assists in training new employees, and provides direction and support to other staff members. The position requires outstanding verbal and written communication skills due to frequent interactions with multiple departments at the site and corporate level.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily activities of direct reports and support other members of the Technology Transfer team.
  • Maintain development plans for direct reports and continually work to advance their skills.
  • Lead the Technology Transfer Team by communicating plant issues and tasks related to scaling up processes, new equipment and procedures, equipment and process validation, and manufacturing of development, stability, cleaning, and product validation batches.
  • Lead at least one weekly meeting with the team.
  • Project manage all projects related to new products, product modernization, and product transfers.
  • Communicate with plant departments, support departments, project team members, and own department as necessary.
  • Review and approve documents for direct reports and other team members; author documents and execute protocols as needed.
  • Translate development findings into manufacturing and cleaning processes.
  • Identify and implement best practices and procedures to provide robust processes for manufacturing and the Technology Transfer Team.
  • Provide information and documentation needed for regulatory submissions or responses; review CMC submissions as the site representative.
  • Serve as the point of contact for channeling all manufacturing-related questions and issues for resolution.
  • Technically assess changes in manufacturing through appropriate review of documentation and testing results; report on changes through risk assessments.
  • Provide technical support for investigations, action plans, material change requests, and similar items as required.
  • Review technology transfer documentation with regulatory and other appropriate groups as required.
  • Identify project requirements and facilitate them with internal and external customers and vendors as required.
  • Coordinate, track, and report on routine departmental assignments such as project time tracking, Product Modernization, and Continued Process Validation monitoring.
  • Assist in the training of new employees to the Technology Transfer department.
  • Provide first-level support and direction to departmental staff members as required.
  • Serve as a designee in the absence of the Technology Transfer Manager.
  • Act as a technical reviewer for tables, protocols, and final reports as assigned by the manager.
  • Track and coordinate routine departmental tasks.
  • Participate in leadership training.

Pay

Salary range: $73,614 – $103,528. Position is eligible to participate in a bonus plan with a target of 6% of base salary. Final pay determinations depend on experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
