Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Tech Supervisor (BHT Supervisor) assists and supports patients throughout their treatment experience, contributing to the treatment planning process.
Essential Job Functions

- Facilitates patient daily needs according to the program schedule.
- Assists nursing staff with duties as directed.
- Recognizes, responds to, and assists in crisis situations.
- Consistently reports to work on time and prepared.
- Aids in implementing individual patient treatment plans.
- Supports patients during admission and discharge processes.
- Maintains an organized and safe environment and performs basic housekeeping duties.
- Conducts regular facility and grounds checks.
- Facilitates and leads daily groups as directed by facility leadership.
- Attends staff meetings and in-service trainings.
- Completes all required training, verifies policy compliance, and keeps employee HR files updated.
- Provides transportation services as needed.
- Supports the training, scheduling, and supervision of tech staff.
- Responsible for obtaining missing employee documentation.
- Reviews and approves tech staff timecards, requested days off, and shift exchange requests.
- Participates in the performance evaluation and disciplinary action of tech employees.
Eating Disorder Division
- Supervises and supports patients during mealtimes.
- Must refrain from actions that contradict the CFD Clinical Model and Dietary CARE model.
- Familiarizes and adopts the Philosophy, Mission, Goals, and Objectives of Center for Discovery treatment programs.
- Has basic knowledge of clinical orientation and interventions used at Center for Discovery.
Residential Treatment Only
- In states where permissible, passing medicine will be necessary.
Training and/or Required Certification
- Must obtain and maintain CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
- Must obtain and maintain CPR, AED, and First Aid, along with Food Handling/Safety certification within 30 days of hire.
Knowledge, Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Two or more years experience working within leadership, management, mental health, substance use, or eating disorder fields required.
- Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License required.
