Responsibilities
- Extracts and analyzes data to generate essential reports to enable Surgical Services' performance evaluation.
- Serves as a liaison between finance and the perioperative leadership team to enhance operations.
- Participates with surgical services leadership team to identify and prioritize key initiatives and special projects along with key performance indicators.
- Supports surgical services leadership in developing operating and capital budgets including specific project review and operational improvement plans.
- Maintains the scheduling and purchasing staff schedule and grants of time off requests (ex. PTO, funeral, etc.). Checks payroll system for completeness and accuracy.
- Works with the System Director of Surgical Services and OR Manager to develop and support service line/ initiatives.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures as normally acquired through 3 years' experience working in a Medical Center or similar setting.
- Knowledge of nursing leadership as normally acquired through working 1 year in a Medical Center or similar setting with involvement in supervision, charge nurse, project implementation.
- Two years of computer system network experience required.
- Knowledge of day-to-day activities in the operating room.
- Interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups and interact with people at all levels to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational skills, and ability to set priorities.
