Responsibilities

  • Extracts and analyzes data to generate essential reports to enable Surgical Services' performance evaluation.
  • Serves as a liaison between finance and the perioperative leadership team to enhance operations.
  • Participates with surgical services leadership team to identify and prioritize key initiatives and special projects along with key performance indicators.
  • Supports surgical services leadership in developing operating and capital budgets including specific project review and operational improvement plans.
  • Maintains the scheduling and purchasing staff schedule and grants of time off requests (ex. PTO, funeral, etc.). Checks payroll system for completeness and accuracy.
  • Works with the System Director of Surgical Services and OR Manager to develop and support service line/ initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures as normally acquired through 3 years' experience working in a Medical Center or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of nursing leadership as normally acquired through working 1 year in a Medical Center or similar setting with involvement in supervision, charge nurse, project implementation.
  • Two years of computer system network experience required.
  • Knowledge of day-to-day activities in the operating room.
  • Interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups and interact with people at all levels to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational skills, and ability to set priorities.
