Essential Functions
- Communicate and develop positive relationships with school clients and ensure the smooth operation of the program.
- Provide supervision to clinical staff including:
- Regular weekly meetings of at least an hour with each full-time staff member and a half hour with part-time staff.
- Telephone contact as needed (i.e. during crisis situations).
- Provide verbal and written feedback to staff including commendations and disciplinary and performance issues as appropriate, including a one-month and three-month verbal review, six-month and one-year written reviews, and periodic evaluations as specified in the agency's personnel files.
- Supervise the overall services, review each client's Individualized Treatment Plan, and take those actions necessary to ensure the proper implementation of the plan.
- Review and maintain case files for each client in care at least four times annually.
- Monitor on a monthly basis the quantity and quality of staff work and to ensure that staff are providing services according to program protocols.
- Review staff time sheets on a bi-weekly basis to ensure service provision meets program standards, and to approve/ disapprove program staff requests for time off.
- Facilitate regular staff meetings for each program as necessary and whole-program meetings on a monthly basis in order to share agency information, and provide education and support to staff.
- Work with the Associate Director of Prevention to expand the programs to other schools/districts.
- Interview and participate in the selection of staff for openings while maintaining a staff that is culturally competent.
- Immediately report to the Associate Director and Senior Vice President when a death occurs in an open case or a case that has closed within the agency in the past 30 days.
- Immediately report to the Associate Director and Senior Vice President any situation in which a client or staff is threatening to sue or file a complaint against the agency.
- Immediately report to the Associate Director and Senior Vice President the filing of any criminal charges or child abuse reports regarding students or staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in a human service discipline.
- Five years of appropriate experience are required (preferably two of which are supervisory experience).
- Must be an individual who has never been convicted of any child abuse offenses.
