Supervisor, Quality Control

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure company policies and procedures are enforced.
  • Evaluate group processes for effectiveness.
  • Supervise employee job execution, including training, performance evaluation, and employee relations.
  • Maintain and enforce quality standards.
  • Monitor and control inspection operations for compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of traceability, process control, and test results.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

Facility-Specific Responsibilities

  • Serve as supervisor, coach, and leader of the Quality Control (QC) inspection team.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce quality control procedures and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Manage work-in-progress (WIP) for the QC inspection team and establish daily inspection priorities.
  • Collaborate with production and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in and support internal Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain measurement and test equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Provide high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred.
  • Certification in Quality Control (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001), preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a quality control or assurance role, required.
  • Proficiency in quality control software and data analysis tools, required.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality control software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Manage day-to-day activities of an assigned area to ensure compliance with customer requirements, third party requirements, API requirements, and NOV quality processes and procedures.
