Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day production activities to meet established metrics for safety, quality, production, customer service, and people management.
- Develop high-performing teams, drive continuous improvement, and foster a best-in-class working environment.
- Lead production teams to achieve daily goals and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate productivity through team and individual metrics.
- Actively participate in and coach employees on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate company policies, procedures, and unique selling propositions effectively to the team and accounts.
- Manage and coach employees, including performance reviews and documentation of performance issues.
- Schedule vacation hours considering seasonality and workload demands.
- Maintain production and machine maintenance records.
- Troubleshoot machine errors and breakdowns with offsite vendors using remote interfaces.
- Address product information, prescription service issues, and company policy decisions with internal and external accounts.
- Act as a role model, fostering motivation, commitment, and teamwork.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Ensure compliance with company, manufacturer, attendance, and safety policies, including HIPAA confidentiality.
- Assist coworkers to maintain workflow, meet deadlines, and balance workloads.
- Provide training, work direction, and technical guidance to less experienced coworkers.
- Attend in-house or sponsored training, including supervisory classes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to solve complex problems involving multiple departments.
- Strong competency in all aspects of lab manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and DVI software.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and maintain workflow.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Experience managing interactions with internal and external customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior supervisory experience.
