About the role
The Production Supervisor at our Mission Foods facility in Fife, WA is responsible for directing, planning, controlling, and monitoring the overall operation of the production department lines. This role requires direct supervision of up to 35 employees.
Responsibilities
- Ensures all processing activities comply with product specifications and GMPs.
- Verifies, controls, and assures production parameters are within budget.
- Serves as a liaison between Department Managers and hourly employees.
- Schedules work assignments, vacations, and days off for hourly employees.
- Verifies labor hours and payroll report accuracy.
- Assesses the needs and provides training to employees and documents training.
- Conducts monthly safety and quality sessions as required and keeps adequate documented records.
- Resolves team conflicts and issues, documenting disciplinary actions and recognition.
- Sets specific and measurable goals for the department's continuous improvement.
- Follows and directs company regulations.
- Ensures safety policies and regulations are enforced.
- Trains employees on safety, enforces safety rules/policies, and manages drug control policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 3 years of production experience in a manufacturing plant required. Bakery or food/beverage manufacturing preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity or 4 years as a Lead in production required.
- Bilingual Spanish / English required.
- Experience and exposure to regulatory inspections (AIB, OSHA, MILITARY, Health Dept., EPA, City & County Inspectors).
- Experience with Quality Systems and Programs.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices, LEAN Manufacturing, 5's, World Class Manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma.
- A multicultural approach to operating in a diverse business environment.
- Comfortable communicating and operating within an internationally matrixed environment.
- Ability to perform simple analysis.
- SAP & ADP-Time and Attendance preferred.
- Ability to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in dusty, noisy, hot, cold, and small areas.
- Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Applications.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing supervisory role with a proven track record in leading manufacturing teams.
Skills
- Bilingual Spanish / English.

Pay
$77,000.00 - $80,000.00 plus $3k Discretionary Bonus
