Job Responsibilities
- Supervise a team, have authority to hire and performance-manage a team.
- Lead/supervise/manage 2nd shift employees.
- Plan the day-to-day allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials, and systems).
- Achieve performance targets as agreed with Production Management.
- Document daily production activities and review results against established targets.
- Review daily maintenance effectiveness and work with staff from both Operations and Maintenance.
- Prioritize, request, and ensure equipment maintenance and repairs are completed.
- Ensure focused improvement tools are effectively utilized in all problem-solving situations.
- Facilitate transitions between shifts and seamless handoffs.
- Communicate key information to peers, team members, and Production Management.
- Apply corrective action consistently when required.
- Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety programs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities and recommending changes.
Experience & Skill
- 3-5 years of experience in related field preferred.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of good manufacturing practices, hazard analysis and critical control points, lean manufacturing, and other food safety, quality, and manufacturing principles.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with employees at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and organize tasks effectively.
- Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
- In Business Management, Production Operations Management, Agricultural Science, Food Science, or equivalent experience acquired through work experience.

Work Environment
- Manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people, and conveyor.
- Office & plant environment.
- Frequent and/or infrequent bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls, and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
- Physical ability to stand/walk for greater than 4 hours.
