Position Summary
To oversee the materials management area, purchase all drugs and supplies under the control of Pharmacy, manage floor stock drugs/inventory, receive pharmaceutical products and inventory to the Pharmacy Department, maintain and support systems that provide floor stock meds, and function as a Pharmacy Technician as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three to five years pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required
- Experience in materials management in retail/hospital pharmacy practice, knowledge of pharmaceutical nomenclature, dosage forms, strengths, systems of weights and measures
- Special Skills: Must be able to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to set priorities and solve problems. Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests; to communicate effectively (orally and in writing). Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College courses desirable but not required.
