Position Summary

The Supervisor is responsible for the development, coordination, and operational management of their department. The Supervisor is also responsible for supervising department staff, assisting with program development, and business planning in collaboration with the Director of Ambulatory Operations.

The Supervisor is responsible for collecting and processing departmental referrals, verifying and updating patient demographic data and verifying insurance eligibility, monitoring external reports, and data entry into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) daily for areas in which they supervise.

The Supervisor is responsible for communicating with our Leadership Teams to ensure referrals are triaged and approved correctly, support the department along with monitoring workflows and work queues for accuracy. This would include RightFax submissions, internal referral request, department specific needs based off algorithms to triage and approve referrals timely.

The Supervisor creates a friendly, cooperative impression throughout all interactions with internal and external customers and works independently to prioritize and manage multiple functions in fast-paced environment.

The Supervisor collaborates with providers, staff and Enloe’s leadership team to plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor the provision of quality and efficient health care services and resources to promote optimal clinical, financial and satisfaction outcomes across the continuum of care.

Minimum EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE

  • Two years of clerical and data entry experience in a medical front office or back-office setting to include referrals.
  • One-year supervisory experience in a hospital ambulatory area, hospital-based clinic or medical practice setting.
  • Desired Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field.
  • Referral experience
  • Medical billing experience
  • Data entry skills
