Position Highlights Sign on bonus: N/APosition: Supervisor, Patient AccessLocation: EDH Main Hospital NapervilleFull Time/Part Time: Full-TimeHours: Monday-Friday: 8:00 am- 4:30 pmRequired Travel: N/A A Brief Overview The Supervisor, Patient Access is responsible for managing and supervising the daily operations of the Patient Access department in the hospital. They will lead a team of Patient Access Representatives, ensuring that patients' registration, insurance verification, and pre-authorization processes are carried out accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with healthcare regulations. What You Will Do Supervise, train, and motivate a team of Patient Access Representatives, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations.Oversee the patient registration, insurance verification, and pre-authorization processes, ensuring that they are conducted efficiently and accurately.Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and discrepancies in patient information and financial data.Foster a culture of patient-centered care within the department, ensuring patients have a positive experience during the registration and admission process.Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to keep them updated on industry trends and regulations.Ensure that the department complies with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, and state-specific guidelines.Monitor key performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly.Collaborate with other hospital departments, such as finance, admissions, and medical records, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient access and revenue cycle management.Prepare and submit reports on departmental performance, including key performance indicators, to the Senior Manager. What You Will Need Bachelors Degree Health Administration Preferred OrBachelors Degree Business Administration/Management Preferred3 Years of experience in patient access, registration, or related roles, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience. AndExperience in healthcare information systems and electronic health records (EHR) software.
