Summary

Supervises daily staff activities for ophthalmic clinical support team.

Responsibilities

  • Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels including the supervising of onboarding, coaching and mentorship programs.
  • Aid with career conversations and disciplinary actions.
  • Supervise quality measures for ophthalmic clinical work-up and facilitate staff develop programs.
  • Ensure staff compliance with clinical work-up competencies and protocols.
  • Supervise the core-process administered by Clinical Coordinators and oversee the work of the Ophthalmic Preceptors.
  • Perform staff responsibilities related to ophthalmic clinical work-ups to fulfill required service levels.
  • Lead the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.

Requirements

  • Ophthalmic Scribe Certification, (OSA) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) or National Contact Lens Examiner Certification (NCLEC).
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • 3 years sponsored on the job ophthalmic training, or ophthalmic internship.

Preferred

  • 2 years of high intensity customer service experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Minimum Education

High School diploma or GED

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Ophthalmic Scribe Certification, (OSA) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) or National Contact Lens Examiner Certification (NCLEC).

Minimum Experience

2 years of supervisory experience.

3 years sponsored on the job ophthalmic training, or ophthalmic internship.

Preferred

  • 2 years of high intensity customer service experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.
