Supervisor - Operations (Overnight)

Responsibilities

• Cook up and distribute employee work assignments to meet inbound and outbound service requirements.
• Drive the achievement of performance objectives related to productivity, quality, service, and safety.
• Monitor workflow, track work completion, analyze error rates, and take corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to procedures and enforce safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate time, attendance, and performance management records.
• Promote positive employee relations and morale.
• Propose performance management actions.
• Develop and document warehouse processes.
• Set and monitor performance standards for various warehouse functions.
• Manage returned merchandise processes.
• Train and certify warehouse employees.

Qualifications

• A high school degree or equivalent.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• At least 3 years of warehouse and distribution operations experience.
• At least 1 year of experience leading warehouse associates.
• Ability to operate a forklift or obtain forklift certification.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and use business planning systems.
• Ability to resolve problems under stress.
• Comfortable working in a team environment.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment.

About the Role

Supervise one or more departments within a warehouse operation including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, light assembly, and housekeeping. Report directly to a Manager or Senior Manager Operations. Focus on meeting customer requirements and contributing to the development of processes and procedures. Shift: Monday-Friday, 9:00pm start with flexibility due to business needs (overnight).
