Supervisor Operations I

About the role

You will oversee the efficient day-to-day operations of the branch, including supervision of employees, facility, budget, and operations-related activities in a large chemical distribution facility.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate compliance with corporate health, safety, and environmental policies, including required training, documentation, and record-keeping.
• Support sales efforts while maintaining corporate and regulatory compliance, health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Lead the branch’s emergency response team.
• Support the branch health and safety program and conduct safety audits in conjunction with the Branch Operations Manager.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate expectations to employees.
• Cultivate employee ownership of branch operations and performance, fostering a positive work environment.
• Participate in inspections from outside agencies (DOT, EPA, FDA, DHS).
• Provide direct supervision for Material Handlers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of demonstrated experience in operations.
• Knowledge of chemical distribution facility operations.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.

Pay

Salary range: $84,490.00 – $105,620.00. The specific salary offered may vary based on experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
