Supervisor - Operations
Responsibilities
- Cook up employee work assignments to meet inbound and outbound service requirements
- Drive achievement of performance objectives related to productivity, quality, service, and safety
- Keep track of workflow, work completed, error rates, and take corrective actions
- Ensure procedures are followed, implemented, and enforced
- Guarantee quality and inspection processes are accurate and excess costs are minimized
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety regulations
- Keep accurate time, attendance, and performance management records
- Maintain positive employee relations and morale
- Propose performance management actions
- Develop and implement training certification programs and ensure warehouse employees receive training
Qualifications
- A High School Degree or Equivalent is required
- Fork Lift Certification is preferred
- Three years of warehouse and distribution operations experience is required
- One year of experience leading warehouse associates is required
- Strong knowledge of inventory control processes is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Basic computer skills are required
- An attention to detail is required
- The ability to learn and use business planning systems is required
- The ability to resolve problems in a timely manner under stressful situations is required
- The ability to anticipate and prepare for customer needs is required
About the Role
Supervise one or more departments within a warehouse operation including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, light assembly, as well as housekeeping of the warehouse.
Report directly to a Manager or Senior Manager Operations.
Train, coach, and counsel associates, and can have at least two or more direct reports.
Comply with operational, audit, safety, and all other company policies.
Focus on meeting customer requirements.
Contribute to the development of processes and procedures.
