Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Counsels and disciplines team members as needed.
- Develops and implements systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Manages operations to meet productivity and service goals.
- Manages operations to achieve prescribed objectives.
- Plans and assigns daily work to warehouse staff.
- Trains new staff in assigned duties.
- Assists in creating programs for hiring, training, and professional development.
- Conducts performance appraisals and provides input for annual reviews.
- Supports adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Supports and trains team members with adherence to SOPs (corporate and client).
Skills & Abilities
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED, 3 years’ experience in logistics/distribution, 1 year supervisory experience.
- Preferred: Prior MHE certification/knowledge of basic MHE operation.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Language Skills: English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Mathematical Skills: Basic to intermediate level for verifying quantities, counting inventory, or handling products.
- Other Skills: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, timely accomplishment of job tasks, good organizational and personnel skills, good communication skills, written and oral, good leadership, supervision, and planning skills, ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, able to work in unregulated temperatures.
