About the Role
The Homeless Outreach Mobile Engagement (HOME) Program provides trauma-informed outreach, behavioral health, care coordination, and case management services to adults experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of homelessness. Services are delivered throughout the community, including shelters, encampments, community locations, and other outreach settings. The HOME Program utilizes evidence-based and research-supported practices designed to improve access to behavioral health care, strengthen community connections, promote recovery, increase housing stability, and improve overall health and well-being for individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
This is a professional supervisory position responsible for the service and administrative oversight of the Homeless Outreach Mobile Engagement (HOME) programs within the Housing First Division. The Supervisor of Homeless Outreach Mobile Engagement provides leadership, coaching, and supervision to Counselors, Behavioral Health Case Managers, Care Coordinators, Referral Coordinators, and other assigned team members while ensuring high-quality service delivery, achievement of program outcomes, regulatory and contractual compliance, and adherence to evidence-based practices.
The Supervisor monitors team member performance, documentation quality, productivity, and service provision while promoting trauma-informed, person-centered, recovery-oriented services that improve housing stability, community integration, and overall well-being. The Supervisor collaborates with internal programs, community providers, healthcare partners, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care and is responsible for ensuring the team achieves established client-facing, client care service expectations. The Supervisor is expected to understand the client-facing, client care service requirements for each position and implement strategies that support achievement of established productivity expectations. Meeting the minimum required weekly, monthly, and annual client-facing, client care service expectations is an essential function of this position.
This is an office-based position with responsibilities requiring regular work in community settings. Directions for Living is an essential services provider. All Directions for Living employees must be willing and able to provide vital support and essential services to the people that we serve in the event of an emergency, pandemic, or other disaster situation.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in the Human Services field
- Minimum of two years’ leadership experience within an outpatient community mental health organization, homeless services organization, or social service agency
- Must have or immediately acquire knowledge of all community resources
- Computer literate and proficient in Outlook, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Word
- Able to work proficiently in a Windows environment and learn other software applications quickly
- Competent in the use of electronic health records and multiple electronic systems, including the Pinellas Homeless Information Management System (P-HMIS)
- Reliable transportation and ability to use personal vehicle to transport clients
- Clear driving record, valid Florida Driver License, and required automobile insurance coverage
- Pass the annual vehicle inspection
