About the role

This is a professional position providing supervisory oversight for counselors and therapists in the Children’s Outpatient (COP) services within the Outpatient Services Division. COP provides therapy services designed for children experiencing mental health conditions, including severe and persistent mental illness, trauma, loss and grief, depression, anxiety, abuse histories, and addictions. Services use evidence-based practices and research-supported interventions to restore and improve quality of life, delivered in clinic or via telehealth.

The Supervisor of Children's Outpatient Clinic supports, coaches, and guides a team of counselors and therapists serving children and families with mental health and substance use needs. The role ensures counseling and therapy services are individualized, recovery-focused, and empower individuals to manage their own recovery and advocacy. The supervisor serves as a subject matter expert on counseling and therapy utilizing natural supports, community resources, and collaboration with other agencies.

The Supervisor ensures all services emphasize strength-based, individualized treatment planning developed collaboratively with clients and their support networks. They oversee referrals to other providers (e.g., psychiatry, SOAR) and ensure collaboration with clinical service partners. The role drives superior performance in agency policies, practice, and quality standards, including meeting required Client Service Levels. This is an office-based position, with an essential function of achieving a minimum of 1,440 annual client service levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory oversight for counselors and therapists in Children’s Outpatient (COP) services.
• Support, coach, and guide a team serving children and families with mental health and substance use needs.
• Ensure services are individualized, recovery-focused, and strength-based.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on counseling and therapy utilizing natural and community supports.
• Collaborate with other clinical service providers and ensure appropriate referrals (e.g., psychiatry, SOAR).
• Drive superior performance in agency policies, practice, and quality standards.
• Ensure team members meet required Client Service Levels (minimum 1,440 annually).
• Provide essential services during emergencies, pandemics, or disasters.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
• At least 2 years of experience working with at-risk populations, including families experiencing substance misuse, domestic violence, mental health challenges, and emotionally disturbed children.
• Florida licensure as LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW preferred but not required.
• 2–5 years of documented supervisory experience.
• Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) preferred.
• Must become certified as a Wraparound Facilitator in high-fidelity Wraparound within 3 months of employment.
• Must become certified as a Wraparound Facilitator Supervisor/Coach within 3 months of employment.
• Preference given to candidates already certified as a Wraparound Facilitator Supervisor/Coach.

Pay

$85,000 per year.
