Supervisor of Base Maintenance

About the Role

As the supervisor, you will manage all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of our company’s facilities, ensuring adherence to Global Crossing Airlines maintenance procedures (GMM).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.
• Set manpower schedules to assure flight line coverage.
• Maintain all machinery to ensure it meets working standards.
• Track and reinforce maintenance procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to detect and resolve problems.
• Plan and manage all work orders, repairs, and aircraft activities.
• Ensure all personnel adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance planning.
• Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies as necessary.
• Assist on the line with Aircraft Maintenance Technicians as needed.
• Review paperwork and correct log pages and work packages.
• Maintain MEL and DMI items and track progress.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, facility management, or a similar field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years’ Airbus experience in maintenance.
• Previous supervisor experience is a bonus.
• Good understanding of Airbus TSM, electrical systems, and TRAX.
• Strong knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• 2-5 years of air carrier commercial aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
• Must meet recent experience requirements in accordance with 14 CFR 65.83.
• Hold a current Airframe and Powerplant Certification.

• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
