About the role
Olympic Medical Center is located on the beautiful North Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. It is bordered by Olympic National Park, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and the Pacific Coast, with Seattle and Victoria, BC nearby.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the OB unit at Olympic Medical Center.
- Promotes continuity of care for patients on the unit, providing direct patient care and supervising the care given by support staff.
- Supports and promotes a positive image of professional nursing and Olympic Medical Center.
- Cares for patients under various circumstances, including crisis or emergency situations.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Two years of experience in a hospital obstetrics setting preferred.
Qualifications
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Fetal Monitoring certification within 6 months of hire for experienced labor nurses or during the start of labor and delivery orientation.

Pay Range: $103,833.60 - $169,436.80

Skills
Knowledge of obstetric nursing practices, ability to handle emergencies, strong communication skills, and proficiency in neonatal resuscitation and fetal monitoring are essential.
