About The Position
The Supervisor Nuclear Maintenance directs the work of skilled personnel in maintenance, replacement, installation, and removal of equipment in the power plant and associated structures to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise maintenance personnel in performing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance and related surveillance testing.
- Plan, schedule, and assign work, or assist in work scheduling and coordination with the Planning & Scheduling department.
- Ensure safe and efficient use of manpower and resources, promote high standards of workmanship, maintain equipment reliability, and train personnel in proper work practices.
- Affirm work activities comply with applicable procedures and policies in an efficient manner.
- Document completed work activities accurately.
- Perform special studies and projects as assigned by Maintenance Department management.
- Assume Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties in accordance with the Callaway Energy Center Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP), including responding to assigned ERO facilities within the required response time.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Five or more years of relevant technical power plant or similar relevant technical industrial experience is required.
- Nuclear Power Plant experience is preferred.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Experience with valves and/or welding is preferred.
Additional Qualifications
- Good decision-making, leadership, communication, and human relations skills are required.
- Selected applicants must pass the First Line Supervisor Test and achieve a recommended status to proceed to additional selection procedures (e.g., interview).
- Qualified candidates must establish and maintain permanent residence within sixty highway miles of the Callaway Energy Center.
- Security screening is required for Callaway Energy Center access.
Working Conditions
The Maintenance Supervisor works a standard day or evening shift in an office/plant environment. Additional hours, callouts, and/or rotating shifts may be required during refueling outages and emergent plant activities as needed.

Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.
Compensation Range
$105,100.00 - $162,900.00
