About the role

Saputo is a top 10 global dairy processor committed to making high-quality products, investing in its people, and supporting communities worldwide. This position involves leading and holding accountable a team of maintenance technicians to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and hold accountable a team of maintenance technicians to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
  • Assists and monitors workers in the maintenance, repair, dismantling, assembling, installing machinery and equipment and programmable logic controllers.
  • Assign, prioritize, and oversee work orders and PM’s, ensuring work is completed correctly, on time, and fully verified before closure.
  • Enforce safety standards, company policies, and cleanliness expectations across all work areas.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Cookordination maintenance activities with operations to meet production needs and schedules.
  • Enforces compliance of all safety rules and regulations, taking prompt corrective action concerning potential safety hazards.
  • Provide clear communication, including status updates, follow-up, and defined action plans.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and/or a minimum of four or more years of related experience and/or training.
  • Familiarity with Ammonia Refrigeration Systems, PLC’s, process instrumentation, and process drawings preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with broad-based business acumen and experience with proven ability to identify opportunities and lead change initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and hold employees accountable.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
