About the role
The Maintenance Supervisor assists the Department Manager with monitoring, planning, and implementing maintenance work activities to support production, preventive maintenance, and other assigned tasks. This role involves leading the maintenance team to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency while meeting internal and external customer needs. Maintenance Supervisors foster a positive work environment, act as moral builders, and solve problems collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Manage processes with detailed accuracy and discipline.
- Coach and assist all employees with problem-solving.
- Teach, train, and maintain accurate training records.
- Ensure all quality standards are met.
- Oversee preventive maintenance activities to ensure they are performed properly and on-time.
- Pay close attention to detail, including safety, housekeeping, quality, performance, instructions from management, and employee well-being.
- Report and investigate incidents, including injuries, near misses, and tool mishaps, to determine root causes.
- Monitor employee attendance and administer discipline in accordance with the employee handbook.
- Manage maintenance team operations to meet expectations for safety, quality, performance, and attendance.
- Support team members in completing daily tasks.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks to ensure consistent communication.
Schedule
This is a 2nd shift position, Monday through Friday, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, located at our plant in Spartanburg, SC.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university, or a High School Diploma/GED with 3-5 years of maintenance experience (preferred).
