Supervisor Locating

About the role

The Field Supervisor position at UtiliQuest, LLC supports Montgomery County, MD. Reporting to the Operations Center Manager, the ideal candidate will manage a team of Damage Prevention Technicians, ensuring business goals and performance standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Build and supervise a team of Damage Prevention Technicians
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture
• Conduct daily and weekly planning meetings
• Conduct audits on field personnel
• Create and maintain good working relationships with clients, excavators, regulators, employees, and the public
• Aid in identifying staffing needs and interviewing candidates
• Operate company vehicles safely and maintain a professional appearance
• Develop, mentor, and evaluate technicians
• Complete JSO’s (Job Safety Observations)
• Complete other duties as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One year or more of proven experience in utility locating or a similar field
• Willingness to do overnight travel up to 50%
• Strong commitment to safety, both in performance and attitude

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of utility mapping, equipment operation, and safety protocols
• Ability to deliver effective field training programs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills

Pay

$65,000.00 - $75,000.00

Schedule

Varies based on the needs of the business, but includes weekend work as needed.
