Job Overview

Supervises the day-to-day operations of landscape construction and maintenance, and repair and maintenance of outside areas including parking garages, parking lots, and walkways for all Gaming Enterprise property and grounds, including large-scale landscaping and snow removal operations. Responsible for parking and traffic control based on business levels.

Work You’ll Do

  • Supervises the operation of the day-to-day landscape construction/maintenance for all Gaming Enterprise properties and grounds.
  • Supervises, executes and tracks progress of multiple projects.
  • Supervises large-scale landscaping and snow removal operations.
  • Organizes and schedules projects and assigns duties.
  • Covers regular maintenance and preventative maintenance of the parking lots and garages for Gaming Enterprises.
  • Arranges for dock-to-dock delivery service of items including water from Water Bottling, movement of new furnishings, and other miscellaneous moves for Tribal Operations.
  • Supervises and coordinates all outside special events related to parking and traffic control. This includes scheduling of personnel, set-up, event operations, and tear down.
  • Supervises the installation of property traffic control devices, equipment and signs, repairs to outside structures, including maintenance of flags, poles, and related hardware, and various painting projects throughout the Gaming Enterprise properties.
  • Oversees the striping and restriping of roadways, parking areas, and other areas for both Gaming Enterprises and Tribal Operations.
  • Leads, mentors, coaches; provides guidance, support and motivation to their team.
  • Responsible for hiring, team member engagement and performance management.
  • Assists Tribal Operations and Gaming Enterprises with special projects.
  • Participates in the snow removal operations.

Requirements

  • Combination of post-high school education and/or experience to equal 5 years in a landscape/construction field and/or asphalt and concrete repair and maintenance.
  • 1+ years of indirect or direct people leadership experience (may include informal leadership).
  • A combination of 2 years’ experience operating landscape or heavy construction equipment.
  • 1 year experience in a large-scale snow removal operation.
  • Class A CDL Driver's License (preferred) - training provided by SMSC within 1 year of hire.
  • Non-commercial pesticide license or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Industrial Truck Driving permit may be required (forklift).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a wide range of climate temperatures, including excessive heat and/or subzero temperatures.
  • Proficiency in maintaining safety while handling potential fumes, chemicals, odors, and/or noise.
  • Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations.
  • Capacity to handle and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Ability to move in a variety of motions including bending, squatting, crawling, kneeling, twisting, pulling, and/or pushing.
