Supervisor Laboratory Services

About the role

As our Supervisor Laboratory, you will supervise laboratory personnel and operations to ensure compliance and quality in accordance with laboratory work process, exercising authority over personnel decisions while overseeing the technical and scientific oversight of the clinical laboratory department. Every day you will analyze and interpret laboratory results, administer laboratory inventories, ensure adherence to policies and ethics, and verify test procedures while resolving technical problems to ensure patient results are accurate and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and review the performance of laboratory personnel to ensure adherence to relevant policies and ethics
• Oversee designated laboratory day-to-day operations and exercise authority over personnel decisions
• Analyze and interpret laboratory results in accordance with established laboratory work processes
• Administer laboratory inventories such as supplies, equipment and consumables
• Select test methodology that is appropriate for the clinical use of the test results
• Verify test procedures performed and establish the laboratory's test performance characteristics, including the precision and accuracy of each test and test system

Requirements

• Required Bachelor's degree in biological or chemical sciences, as defined by CLIA
• Four (4) to six (6) years of experience
• Minimum of five (5) years at a moderate or high complexity laboratory
• Clinical Lab Scientist: CA (CLS:CA) preferred
• One (1) to three (3) years of experience as a supervisor or higher

$56.89 - $84.63 /hour
