Service Technician
About the role
The Role: As a Service Technician, you’ll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and reliable door solutions to our customers. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade a variety of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
- Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
- Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction.
- Participate in training programs and maintain AAADM certification.
- Operate power tools and perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 100 lbs., climbing ladders, kneeling).
- Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training.
Requirements
- Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21 due to job-related responsibilities.
- Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within one (1) year of employment and maintain certification as required.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices.
- Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring (access control systems a plus).
- Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
- Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.
Skills
- Electro-mechanical device repair skills.
- Basic electrical circuits and low-voltage wiring knowledge.
- Glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware experience.
- Power tool operation and physical labor skills.

Pay
$27-$40 per hour; the final pay rate offered to the successful candidate will depend on education, experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role.
