Supervisor - Lab Facility

About the role

As a Supervisor – Lab Facility, you will lead laboratory operations, staff performance, and compliance efforts while ensuring high-quality diagnostic services and continuous operational improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing laboratory staff and daily departmental operations
• Hiring, onboarding, and scheduling staff to ensure appropriate coverage
• Conducting performance evaluations and coaching team members for growth and development
• Ensuring timely and accurate laboratory testing and result reporting
• Supporting staff competency, training, and validation processes
• Troubleshooting issues related to testing, equipment, and specimen handling
• Maintaining regulatory compliance and inspection readiness
• Enforcing laboratory safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
• Assisting with expense processing and departmental operations
• Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Education Required : Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science OR a related Clinical Science field
• Experience Required : Four (4) years of clinical laboratory or related experience
• Licensure / Certification Required : State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License
