Supervisor, Lab Assistants & Phlebotomy

Key Responsibilities

• Oversight of daily operations for lab assistants and phlebotomy teams across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Ensuring accurate specimen collection, labeling, processing, and delivery.
• Cooking on staffing assignments, schedules, and daily workflow to maintain adequate coverage and efficient service.
• Providing hands-on technical support, training, and competency oversight for phlebotomy procedures, specimen handling, and documentation practices.
• Monitoring quality indicators, supply levels, equipment needs, and adherence to safety and infection-prevention standards.
• Collaborating with nursing units, outpatient clinics, laboratory leadership, and other departments to resolve service concerns and support an effective patient-centered workflow.
• Maintaining accurate operational records, supporting readiness for regulatory surveys, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
