Assistant Supervisor - Phlebotomy

Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities

• Support the Phlebotomy Leadership team with organizational goals and objectives
• Develop and inspire your team of employees
• Handle departmental reporting and metrics to assist Leadership team
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

Position Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms
• Bonus points if you have 2+ years of supervisory experience in a laboratory/medical setting
