HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors in Laporte, TX, is seeking a Supervisor IS (Industrial Services) to work at a customer location and join a safety-conscious team.

About the role

This position oversees two or more crews by planning, leading, organizing, and coordinating daily operations. Responsibilities include ensuring proper equipment operation, driving operational efficiencies, maintaining accurate job documentation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Supervisor IS also serves as a company representative to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct, provide feedback, and direct crews to complete work in accordance with client requirements and company policies.
  • Enforce company employee policies; remove employees from job sites when necessary.
  • Schedule jobs and crews; dispatch crews based on calls received during nights and weekends.
  • Act as Operations Manager or Branch Manager when requested.
  • Review work orders to ensure all required equipment is available and operational before starting a job.
  • Inspect equipment and work areas to correct deficiencies that may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.
  • Inform clients regarding job status and requirements.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Complete and submit all appropriate paperwork, including service receipts.
  • Train Technicians and Operators on equipment operation, service line processes, and necessary paperwork.
  • Operate equipment (chemical, hydro-blasting, painting, blasting, and vacuum) in accordance with training and safety procedures.
  • Calculate load weights for manifest completion and issue manifests correctly per waste stream, transporter, TSDF, and PO.
  • Maintain a filing system for issued and returned manifests.
  • Assist HPC drivers with Win Web ticket entries as necessary.
  • Schedule pit loads at TSDF(s) and assist in coordination of roll-off logistics (moves, re-spots, deliveries).
  • Conduct weekly inspections, including roll-off inspections and coordination with vac truck supervisors for water and oil removal.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience within the industrial cleaning industry.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License; CDL preferred.
  • Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training, and essential experience.
  • Language proficiency: ability to comprehend English for safety training and emergency instructions.
  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with company driving policy when operating company or personal vehicles for business.
  • OSHA certification may be required.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
  • RCRA certificates and Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) required.
  • 20% travel within the region; local travel between sites.
  • Availability to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and ability in people management.
  • Strong knowledge of operating equipment used in the service line.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel; Microsoft Access is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment preferred.
  • CDL, forklift, and backhoe certification to assist with plant operations as needed.
