Supervisor IS
About the role
Thompson Industrial, Powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking a Supervisor IS (Industrial Services) to join their safety-conscious team at a customer location. This role involves managing two or more crews, planning, leading, organizing, and coordinating daily operations. Responsibilities include ensuring proper equipment operation, driving efficiency, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
- Instructs, provides feedback, and directs crew in performance of job duties.
- Enforces Company policies and may remove employees when necessary.
- Schedules jobs and crews, dispatches crews based on calls, and acts as Project Manager or Operations Manager when needed.
- Reads work orders and ensures required equipment is available and operational before starting a job.
- Inspects equipment and work areas, corrects deficiencies, and informs clients of job status.
- Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment.
- Completes paperwork including service receipts and submits to management.
- Trains Technicians and Operators on equipment operation, service line processes, and paperwork.
- Operates various service line equipment according to training and safety procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in industrial cleaning industry.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and ability in people management.
- Strong knowledge in operating service line equipment.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate effectively in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel. Microsoft Access is a plus.
- Experience with Win Web.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment.
- Current certification as an authorized Company driver.
- CDL A and forklift certification for in-plant operations.
