Supervisor Imaging - Radiology

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, WA, a Level II Trauma Center, is seeking a Radiology Supervisor to lead a highly skilled team of approximately 45 caregivers, including radiologic technologists and students. This role focuses on guiding an experienced team, fostering professional development, and strengthening clinical partnerships across the hospital.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to lead within a respected Level II Trauma Center where imaging plays a critical role in emergency, inpatient, surgical, and diagnostic care. You’ll partner with Lead Technologists, physicians, and fellow imaging leaders to support daily operations, quality initiatives, and departmental success. The role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and building trust through consistency and transparency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Radiology department, supporting a team of approximately 45 caregivers, including radiologic technologists and students.
• Partner with Lead Technologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure imaging remains a trusted clinical partner throughout the hospital.
• Mentor and develop the next generation of imaging professionals through involvement with radiography students.
• Influence caregiver engagement, communication, and departmental success in a visible leadership capacity.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, trauma services, and nursing leaders to shape patient care beyond the department.
• Balance accountability with empathy while fostering a culture of trust and professional growth.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Radiology (Required); Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred).
• ARRT-R certification and Washington Radiologic Technologist licensure through DOH.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related area of licensure.
• Previous leadership training, experience with hospital radiology operations, and experience leading in a union environment (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Schedule

Full-time, day shift.

Working Conditions

This is primarily a sedentary leadership role combining office-based administrative responsibilities with regular presence in a hospital environment. Responsibilities include frequent computer use, data analysis, documentation review, and communication with caregivers, physicians, students, and interdisciplinary teams. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of light objects (up to 10 pounds) may be required. The role also demands close visual attention for computer work and detailed administrative tasks.
