Supervisor II - Operations

About the role

This position will lead a team of Quality Inspectors. It involves leading Quality Management Services team, which includes tool calibration, CMM lab, and non-conforming processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of departmental plans to achieve objectives in safety, quality, schedule, efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Investigate, analyze and resolve various system, part, people or process issues to correct deficiencies, reduce costs, improve processes/performance.
• Administer employee policies, practices, procedures and work rules appropriate for the unit.
• Maintain and control costs to stay within the department operating budget targets.
• Manage and control costs to stay within the department operating budget targets.
• Ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully do their job.
• Direct departmental continuous improvement plans and activities.

Requirements

Metatarsals are required from day one. This position splits its time – 70% on the supporting the shop floor and 30% in the office. Primarily 1st shift but will have to be flexible. Exact shift hours can be discussed by the selected candidate and the hiring manager. Candidates must be willing to work the off-shift, OT and some weekends to be considered.

Qualifications

• Strong supervisory experience (preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment).
• Demonstrated experience with quality processes and fundamentals.
• Flexibility with work and an ability to learn new things.
• Proficient with computers, including Excel and Outlook.

Skill Set

• A 4-year degree is strongly preferred with 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Candidates without a 4-year degree will be considered if they have demonstrated supervisory experience.
