Responsibilities

  • Work with both clinical and administrative departments to create a collaborative and professional relationship on behalf of Lumicera Health Services with IDN partners and their associated team members and stakeholders.
  • Build and cultivate a dynamic team of Clinical Liaisons to effectively interface between administrative staff, clinical staff, specialty pharmacies, insurance providers, financial assistance entities, and patients.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal team members at Lumicera, and external clinic stakeholders to integrate workflows, processes, and procedures which will deliver collaborative solutions in the best interests of all parties.
  • Create and deliver educational resources, presentations, and references to enhance comprehension of and participation in workflow processes and procedures that optimize the IDN Shared Services Model.
  • Continually evaluate workflow and work task assignments specific to the Clinical Liaison team while maintaining ultimate ownership and accountability for those tasks including, but not limited to: IDN benefits determinations, IDN prior authorization requests, IDN billing resolution requests, IDN financial assistance requests, and IDN patient onboarding requests.
  • Utilize existing analytics tools internally at Lumicera, as well as externally with IDN partners including but not limited to the electronic health record, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Compass.
  • Interact with clinic employees, including but not limited to pharmacists, clinical staff, fiscal personnel, department managers, access services staff, coding staff, and billing assistants. External contacts include but are not limited to third party payers, manufacturers, prescription benefit management companies, external pharmacy personnel, and referring providers and their support staff.
  • Represent Lumicera and affiliated IDN organizations with a high degree of professionalism in all interactions within scope both inside and outside of the workplace.
  • Act in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and with the highest ethical standards that we consistently strive to achieve. Thus, legal and ethical compliance is an essential duty of each employee.

  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
    • Certified CPhT or ExCPT preferred.
    • Two (2) years of pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience required.
    • Previous management and/or leadership experiences preferred.
    • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
    • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
