About the role

This position supervises, coordinates, and ensures the safe and effective execution of all maintenance or custodial service activities for assigned personnel. You will directly supervise craft workers, foremen, general foremen, and team leaders in the installation, repair, preventative maintenance, removal, or adjustment of equipment and supplies according to project procedures, requirements, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project reports and contribute to project estimates by identifying activities, status, and performance.
• Develop working knowledge of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) programs by applying standard O&M practices.
• Complete work by implementing crew deployment schedules in assigned areas of responsibility.
• Assist in ensuring operation and availability of equipment by evaluating quantity and quality, reporting corrective actions or programs to management.
• Maintain technical knowledge by staying current on available systems and equipment for maintenance management and/or custodial services.
• Fulfill contract and Operating System Requirements (OSR)/Operating System Implementation Plan (OSIP) by ensuring duties and responsibilities are clearly defined, documented, and followed.
• Supervise craft personnel and up to four General Foremen.
• Assist site superintendent and site manager as required.
• Establish work plans, assign schedules, and set priorities.
• Solve problems within procedural limitations.
• Ensure staff complete activities and work orders as scheduled each month.
• Provide on-the-job and formal training to staff in areas of specialization.
• Inspect contractors' work to determine code compliance and adherence to specifications.
• Perform all supervisory functions common to a facility maintenance and utility plant operations organization.
• Review and evaluate performance to ensure Fluor quality standards are met.
• Review and assess the scope of authorized work and continually monitor job progress against the plan.
• Monitor Work Order (WO) implementation to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Consult with clients to establish priorities.
• Perform regular audits to ensure Fluor standards of workmanship are met.
• Review project status reports and direct the resolution of operational and maintenance problems to minimize costs and prevent delays.
• Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track maintenance work, labor hours, work orders, etc.
• Determine responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
• Perform administrative activities, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.
• Manage supervisors and leads who supervise the Maintenance Department.
• Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of designated site maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study with no required years of work-related experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to four years if non-degreed. Some locations may have additional or different qualifications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum four years of craft, foreman, general foreman, or team leader experience (typically non-degreed).
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Proficiency with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Pay

Salary range: $48,500.00 – $89,500.00. The market rate for this role is typically at the midpoint of the salary range, with final salary determined by candidate qualifications, relevant experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions.
