Supervisor I
Duty Statement
Under general direction of the Supervisor II (Budget Officer), the Supervisor I supervises a group of analysts performing workload in the planning and development of the Governor’s Budget by collaborating and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. This includes ongoing monitoring of actual data as compared to changes to the enacted budget (e.g. Budget Revisions, Section letters, and Executive Orders). Take a lead role in developing Budget Change Proposals and Enrollment, Caseload, and Population Estimates, and drafting legislative bill fiscal analyses. Assist the Budget Officer with establishing and maintaining the policies and procedures manual for the Budget Office.
Qualifications
- Experience with the California budget development process preparing the various budget drills issued by the Department of Finance.
- Experience with writing, reviewing, and editing budget change proposals (BCPs).
