Our Outreach and Recruitment team is looking for the next Supervisor I leader—a forward-thinking, collaborative professional who is ready to lead a dedicated team and help shape the future of recruitment and outreach at CDTFA.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence organizational change by developing people, strengthening partnerships, improving processes, and creating innovative strategies that help CDTFA attract and retain talented professionals. As a Supervisor I, you will lead, coach, mentor, and empower team members while developing and delivering recruitment strategies, career and job fairs, campus information sessions, hiring events, and Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI) outreach initiatives. This position goes beyond managing day-to-day operations. You will help translate organizational goals into action, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead initiatives that create a stronger and more effective recruitment program. You will work collaboratively with department leaders, recruiters, partners, and stakeholders to build lasting relationships and position CDTFA as an employer of choice.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor, and empower team members within the Outreach and Recruitment Unit.
• Develop and deliver recruitment strategies, career and job fairs, campus information sessions, hiring events, and DEAI outreach initiatives.
• Translate organizational goals into actionable plans and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with department leaders, recruiters, partners, and stakeholders to build lasting relationships and enhance CDTFA’s employer brand.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Outreach and Recruitment Unit while driving meaningful change.

Requirements

• Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s).
• Current employees in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, or eligible for reinstatement.
• Individuals with list or LEAP eligibility, in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or with SROA and/or Surplus eligibility.
• Individuals eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered.

Special Requirements

• This employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S.
• Travel may be required up to 20% of the time.
• Position may require overnight travel for up to three consecutive nights to attend recruitment events.
