About the role
The House Supervisor will act as the in-house administrative representative and resource person for all patients, staff, staff physicians, and visitors.
- Allocate nurses and staff based on patient acuity and unit needs
- Manage shift scheduling, call-outs, and replacement coverage
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to maintain optimal flow
- Reallocate bed space and equipment as demands shift
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BSN/BA/BS), required; Graduate Degree, preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years previous nursing experience, required
- Previous management experience, preferred
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required
Skills
- Knowledge, skills, and ability to modify care and interpret information based on patient age, health, and developmental status
- Demonstrated sound and effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Good interpersonal skills and strong intra- and interdepartmental relationships
- Preferred: Critical care or ED experience (required for Clemmons Medical Center and Kernersville Medical Center)
