Location: Oak Grove, KY, US, 42262 – Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel, a newer facility in a high-traffic area near Fort Campbell, 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles from downtown Nashville, TN.

About the role

The Hotel & Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the successful overall coordination and direction of all activities related to the hotel, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Laundry, RV Park, and Sundries Shop. Supervises a team to ensure smooth and efficient operations in accordance with guest service policies, procedures, and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises all front desk and housekeeping staff; plans daily for proper servicing of all empty hotel rooms.
  • Assists the Hotel Assistant Manager in creating, developing, and implementing an effective organizational strategy for the front office to ensure maximum guest service and satisfaction.
  • Ensures completion of housekeeping inspection sheets for all check-outs.
  • Handles all inquiries regarding Lost and Found.
  • Assists with achieving budgeted revenues and expenses, maximizing profitability related to guest service.
  • Manages room inventory to maintain highest possible room occupancy and average daily rate.
  • Creates room assignments for all housekeeping staff.
  • Conducts daily inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure proper cleanliness.
  • Maintains procedures for handling financial transactions, security of monies, guest service, and emergency problems.
  • Guides and supports front desk and Sundries staff in daily responsibilities.
  • Ensures proper storage, organization, and cleanliness of items in the Sundries shop, including inventory counts and proper date storage.
  • Monitors room blocks in the hotel system to ensure correct handling.
  • Assists the Hotel Assistant Manager in inventory control and counts for housekeeping, hotel amenities, Sundries Shop, and other front desk items.
  • Communicates with other departments to ensure proper handling of guests and groups.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred in front desk, housekeeping, or retail/customer service operations.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
