Supervisor Health Information Management

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Degree (required)
• Licenses and Certifications: RHIT - Registered Health Information Technician - AHIMA - American Health Information Management Association (required) OR RHIA - Registered Health Information Administrator - AHIMA - American Health Information Management Association (required)
• Work Experience: Minimum two (2) years related work experience or other leadership experience (preferred)

Skills and Abilities

• Critical thinking skills are a requirement of this position.
• Ability to read and understand the clinical chart is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including the ability to format Excel spreadsheets preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills including the ability to communicate effectively across a wide range of audiences.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask, keeping complex processes on track for multiple chart corrections at one time.
• Demonstrated effective use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
