About the role
Manage and direct all landscape operations and employee support.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train and develop landscape staff.
- Prioritize daily tasks for staff.
- Carry out performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Operate mowing equipment and hand-held tools.
- Operate heavy or specialized equipment.
- Install and maintain manual and automatic irrigation systems.
- With support from Manager, prepare annual budget and maintain monthly expenses.
- Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite and adhere to assigned schedule.
Requirements
- Two years supervisory experience.
- Three years landscape experience, preferably on a large campus or acreage.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and maintain a consistent volume of work order requests.
- Former budget planning experience.
- Basic end-user Windows based PC experience.
- Pesticide Applicator Certification or willing to obtain in a specified period of time.
- Missouri Chauffeurs License.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.
- Landscape Certification or Bachelor’s Degree in horticulture or landscape design preferred.
